Two new police officers, Storm Painter and Erik Schnitzler, were sworn into the Campbell County Police Department on Sept. 4, after completing 20 weeks of training at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training and riding with a training officer for 12 weeks.

Independence city facilities may host police instructors in the future
Independence Mayor Chris Reinersman has reported that Independence Police Chief Brian Ferayorni has pitched the idea of using Independence city facilities to house in-service training for officers, which may help mitigate the police recruitment backlog and lack of instructors in the region.
