Big Sandy Superstore, an Ashland-based furniture and home goods retailer, has opened its doors in Florence.
Big Sandy is located at 8032 Burlington Pike in the former Value City Furniture building, which closed earlier this year. The retailer hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 3 to commemorate the opening.
Big Sandy operates in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri and Indiana. Currently, the chain is one of the largest independent furniture retailers across the Midwest and Appalachia. Big Sandy carries products from national brands such as Ashley, La-Z-Boy, Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Whirlpool, General Electric and Samsung.
Big Sandy’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
