The Life Learning Center adds VP of Operations, Brian Cunningham, and Controller, Ryan Zavitz, to perfect delivery of the Covington location while the organization looks towards expansion.

In 2024, Life Learning Center, a nonprofit organization currently located in Covington, Kentucky, dedicated to transforming lives through education and support resources, is proud to announce the addition of Brian Cunningham as VP of Operations to the organization’s Covington location.

Brian brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, operational and quality improvement. He has a background in both the for-profit and nonprofit space, leading teams at Grant US Hope, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and General Electric. “The addition of Brian will help to optimize current operations at the Covington location allowing this site to achieve its three-year graduation and employment goals,” said President and CEO Alecia Webb-Edgington.

In addition to Cunningham, the organization recently hired Controller Ryan Zavitz to bring all accounting and financial responsibilities in-house. Zavitz brings a wealth of experience in organizational and financial performance, business and data modeling and analysis. He has vast experience in the for-profit space, leading teams at Rumpke, Marquee Event Group and Kentucky League of Cities Insurance Services. “The addition of Ryan will set the appropriate internal controls to safeguard our assets and ensure financial accuracy in Covington and beyond,” says Webb-Edgington.

These strategies underscore Life Learning Center’s dedication to future-proofing its operations as it broadens its impact locally and regionally. The organization plans to unveil further details about its expansion initiatives in the upcoming months. “These new hires will grant me the capacity to focus on the expansion and the development of new sites across the Commonwealth. Through these expansions, we reinforce our dedication to transforming lives—one individual and one family at a time,” states Webb-Edgington. Life Learning Center plans to expand to Morehead in 2025, Somerset in 2026 and Bowling Green in 2027. More details about these expansions will unfold in the coming months and years.
