Thomas More University has appointed Thomas Lueke as the new chair of its board of trustees.
Lueke will take the reins from the current Chair, Judith A. Marlowe, on June 1. He’ll serve a four-year term on the board.

“Thomas More University is not only a critical component of the Diocese of Covington and the local community of Catholics, but also important to the populace as a whole by ensuring there are high-quality options for higher education,” Lueke said in a university press release. “I am excited to see the potential for Thomas More to grow as it extends its reach to attract more students beyond the local community.”
Lueke formerly worked at U.S. Bank for 42 years before retiring. His most recent positions with the bank were senior vice president and chief administrative officer of the global treasury management division, where he oversaw much of that division’s administration and operation. He’s also been active in coordinating local employee giving drives with organizations like the United Way and ArtsWave.
Lueke already sat on the board of trustees, having joined first in 2020. He currently serves on the finance, business and capital planning committee.
“I am honored to share this appointment of Tom Lueke as chairperson,” said university President Joseph L. Chillo in the release. “His values-driven leadership and commitment to advancing a Catholic liberal arts education will be invaluable as we continue to shape the future for Thomas More.”
