Coroner

Incumbent Mark Schweitzer beat Derek Myers in the race for Campbell County Coroner.

Schweitzer has held the position since being elected in 1998.

Under Kentucky law, the Coroner investigates deaths that are sudden, unexpected, unexplained or the result of anything other than natural causes. This includes deaths that occur under unusual or unclear circumstances, as defined by state statute. Coroners serve four-year terms.

County Commissioner District 1

Incumbent Brian Painter defeated challenger Dave Fischer in the race for Campbell County commissioner.

Painter first took office in 2010. The primary this time around was a rematch between Painter and Fischer from 2022. Painter narrowly defeated Fischer in that race by just over 100 votes.

There are three commissioners in Campbell County, each covering a different district. District 1 covers most of Fort Thomas, Highland Heights, Cold Spring, and Alexandria, but residents of the entire county vote for the position. Commissioners serve four-year terms.

Jailer

Ryan Grosser beat Brian Jennings in the primary for Campbell County Jailer.

Incumbent Campbell County Jailer Jim Daley did not seek reelection and endorsed Grosser to be his successor.

Kentucky jailers are responsible for inmate processing and maintaining order in the jail. They serve four-year terms and have no term limits.

Constable District 1

Incumbent Campbell County Constable Ken Warden lost to challenger Sean Donelan.

Warden has held the position since 2010.

Constables primary duties include delivering subpoenas, eviction notices, and other paper documents to residents. They serve four-year terms.
