Covington residents and organizations can safely and freely dispose of paper documents, old electronics and various other recyclables at a community event on Saturday, June 20 at Holmes High School.

Hosted in a joint partnership between the city, the Center for Great Neighborhoods and Keep Covington Beautiful, this will be the event’s 11th annual iteration.

Electronics that cannot be reused will be safely disposed of.

“We must minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency by keeping components, products, and materials in use for as long as possible,” Covington’s Solid Waste and Recycling Manager Sheila Fields said. “Recovering valuable materials and reintegrating them into the production cycle not only conserves resources but also creates jobs.”
