Nearly one year ago, Russia invaded Ukraine, resulting in a severe escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War.
Saturday, NKY Uniting for Ukraine, a community group that supports local Ukrainian refugees displaced by the war, gathered to honor the Ukrainian refugees in Northern Kentucky as well as commemorate the first anniversary of the invasion.
The event was held in the Riedlin-Schott Community Room at the Kenton County Government Center.
