The temperature was barely above freezing Saturday night as the City of Independence put on its annual Christmas parade.Â
Crowds turned out for the festive event.
The annual Christmas Walk was canceled due to the pandemic, but the parade went on since people were able to engage in social-distancing.
The parade was also lengthened to help with that.
