The man accused of assaulting and fleeing from sheriff’s deputies in Verona on Monday is believed to have robbed a Walgreens store in Pensacola, Florida.
David Vaughn, 32, allegedly walked into a Walgreens in that Florida city on Wednesday morning, pointed a gun a clerk, and demanded pills.
He reportedly got away with opioids.
Vaughn then allegedly fled in a maroon Nissan Rogue.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office shared images of a man believed to be Vaughn on its Facebook page in a post that has been shared more than seven thousand times.
He is also accused of assaulting two sheriff’s deputies from Boone County after they were called to a Marathon station on Verona-Mud Lick Road Monday morning.
The 341-pound Vaughn was too large for handcuffs and was able to fight off the deputies before fleeing in a vehicle.
That car was later found in Indiana but Vaughn was not nearby.
Call police if you know anything.
