According to reported statewide results, Williams received 20,793 votes, or 53.4% of the total, compared with Pollard’s 18,163 votes, or 46.6%. Williams won by a margin of 2,630 votes.

Funke Frommeyer received 24,113 votes, or 56.1% of the total, compared with Baker’s 18,866 votes, or 43.9%, according to the Associated Press.

Williams represents Kentucky’s 20th Senate District, which includes portions of Boone and Kenton counties and all of Carroll, Franklin, Gallatin and Owen counties.

Williams, a Verona resident, previously served in the Kentucky House from 1991 to 1992 and the state Senate from 1993 to 1998. He returned to the General Assembly in 2023 after defeating Democrat Teresa Barton in the 2022 general election.

A former information technology consultant and software developer, Williams has focused much of his legislative work on government technology modernization and healthcare policy, particularly reforming Kentucky’s certificate-of-need system. He has also sponsored legislation addressing education, taxes and occupational licensing.

Meanwhile, Funke Frommeyer, a certified financial planner and wealth advisor, has prioritized lowering state income taxes, promoting economic development and improving public health during her time in the statehouse.

Funke Frommeyer was first elected to the Kentucky Senate in November 2022. She took office in January 2023 and has served nearly four years in the General Assembly.

Funke Frommeyer represents Kentucky’s 24th Senate District, which includes all of Campbell, Bracken and Pendleton counties, along with portions of Kenton County. The district stretches from the urban river cities of Newport, Bellevue and Dayton, as well as a small portion of Covington, south to the rural communities of Pendleton and Bracken counties.

During her reelection campaign, Funke Frommeyer emphasized reducing government waste, cutting regulatory barriers and improving affordability for Kentucky families. She also pledged to advance the work of the Make America Healthy Again Kentucky Task Force, focusing on nutrition, chronic disease prevention and environmental health risks.
