A Fort Thomas woman and long-time business owner has died after being hit by a car on Thursday.
Cincinnati police said Sarah Cole, 35, was struck while crossing the street in the 4100 block of Hamilton Avenue shortly before 6 p.m.
Cole owned and operated Sarelli’s on S. Fort Thomas Avenue for eight years, before opening up Tickle Pickle in February of this year. Her new restaurant was less than a block away from where she was struck.

Cole was taken to UC Medical Center, where she died early Friday, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office said.
Police said Cole was not in a crosswalk at the time she was struck.
The driver of the car that hit Cole was not injured, police said.

CPD said impairment and excessive speed were not factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Tickle Pickle is a fast casual restaurant offering organic milkshakes and locally sourced burgers. Cole originally planned to move Sarelli’s to the new space but decided to launch a new business that includes catering service instead after leaving her Fort Thomas location.
