The Covington Latin Lady Trojans won The Kentucky Christian Atheletic Conference State Tournament last week with an impressive 33-18 win over Christian Fellowship.
The team defeated Portland Christian Academy (49-31) and Calvary Christian (37-35) on its way to the championship game.
“Our girls played four games in three days. I could not be more pleased with their efforts. All of our players did their jobs and when that happens, you win games,” said head coach Tim Heil.
Kennedy McGuire, a senior from Crescent Springs, was named Tournament Outstanding player. Senior Dodie Meyer and Junior Sara Combs were named to the All-Tournament Team.
