Did you get a parking ticket in Park Hills during any of the recent snow emergencies? There’s a way to get rid of it.

Detective/Sergeant Richard Webster posted at the Park Hills Police Department Facebook page that he will forgive the parking tickets in exchange for five canned goods.

The parking ticket is typically a fine of $25.

“You must bring the canned goods, the original ticket, and your email address to the city building,” Webster wrote. He and his son, Grant Webster, collect canned goods for Be Concerned in Covington, usually by way of the Helpful Hearse at Halloween, which The River City News profiled in 2013 and again in 2014.

“I am trying to turn a negative into a positive and this way I can inform the residents of the Snow Emergency rules and also add them to the list of contacts,” Webster said.
