100 holes of golf will be played in one day by passionate supporters of Holy Cross High School that hope to cool the gym on the Latonia campus.
According to the school, modification of a recreational area that now houses a pre-school has caused the heat in the gym to be uncomfortable for the Indians’ athletes, coaches, and fans. The school hopes to raise $150,000 through a golf-a-thon on Friday in which a few dozen golfers will take to 100 holes in one day.
The funds raised would be used for air conditioning in the gym.
So far, the event has raised more than $56,000.
