Kenton County Sheriff Chuck Korzenborn announced his support for Stacy Tapke in her race to be the Kenton County Attorney.

“Kenton County deserves a County Attorney who understands the important role that office plays in keeping our community safe and prosperous,” Korzenborn said in a news release. “Stacy Tapke is that person.”

Korzenborn, who has been sheriff since 1998, also faces a Republican primary challenge from Seymour Fisk.

“More than any other candidate, Tapke is highly regarded by her fellow attorneys as well as law-enforcement personnel, and local government officials recognize that she uniquely capable of handling the very complex demands of the Kenton County Attorney’s Office,” he said. “For those reasons, I’m thrilled to endorse Stacy Tapke as the next Kenton County Attorney, and I look forward to working with her in my next term as Sheriff.”

“I’m honored to have the support of Sheriff Korzenborn,” Tapke in a news release. “For the past ten years, I have had the pleasure of working with the Sheriff and his exceptional team of deputies, bailiffs, and administrative staff,” she said. “Together, they embody the best of public service.”

Tapke also has been endorsed by current Kenton County Attorney Garry Edmondson, Campbell County Attorney Steve Franzen, Boone County Attorney Robert NeaceKenton County Jailer Terry Carl, Kenton Circuit Court Clerk John Middleton, and former Kenton County Judge-Executive Clyde Middleton.
