Crestview Hills Mayor Paul Meier has been elected to the Executive Board of the Kentucky League of Cities, often shortened to the KLC.
The KLC is a membership-based advocacy group that lobbies for the interests of cities in the commonwealth and provides services, such as insurance coverage, to its membership. Most of the cities in Northern Kentucky are members of the KLC.
The Executive Board of the KLC is responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the organization. Unlike the KLC Board of Directors, it usually doesn’t enact policy or make formal decisions.
Meier has been a member of the KLC’s Board of Directors since 2001. He has served multiple terms as mayor for over 20 years. He previously served on the city council before becoming mayor and worked as a network designer for Cincinnati Bell before retiring.
“Cities accomplish more when we learn from one another and work together,” Meier said. “I’ve had the opportunity over many years to see the difference KLC makes for city officials and the communities we serve. I’m grateful for the confidence my fellow city leaders have placed in me and look forward to continuing that work on the executive board.”
