Coming off a bye week, Cooper wasted no time taking care of business to clinch the top spot in the Class 5A, 5th District.
The Jaguars lit up the scoreboard to a tune of 35 first quarter points to get the game into a running clock for a third straight game.
The Jags scored on their five possessions of the first quarter, the first score coming on a 53-yard off tackle jaunt by Keagan Maher. Maher would add two more scores later in the quarter, one via the air and a second one on the ground. Cam O’Hara tallied three total scoring tosses in the quarter, one to Drew Hartman who traversed 46 yards for a score, one to Maher from 56 yards out and the last one to Ryker Campbell, who shed would be tacklers for a 21-yard touchdown reception.
