SCOTT SOFTBALL

The Eagles went to the Holmes Bulldog Bash and came home with a trophy on Saturday evening after winning three games over Beechwood (8-7), Holmes (21-0) and Lloyd Memorial (11-1) to improve to 12-8 on the season.
Scott has won five of their last seven games, scoring 76 runs during that span. They collected 40 hits in the three games at the Bulldog Bash, led by Addyson Riley’s eight hits in the three contests. Emma Scribner and Ivy Cochran tallied six hits, while Audrey Griffin had five hits and Elise Manhardt with four.
In the final two games, Addyson Riley pitched five innings of two-hit ball against Lloyd Memorial and struck out six while Scribner didn’t allow a hit in three innings against Holmes and struck out seven.
Scott has two regular season games left before they take on Bishop Brossart in the 37th District tournament semifinals on Monday.
BISHOP BROSSART TRACK AND FIELD

The Mustangs swept the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Division II championships on May 2 at Scott High School.
The boys’ team won the meet with a team score of 114, comfortably ahead of Highlands in second place with 80 points.
The girls’ team finished with 110 points, 21.5 points clear of second place Beechwood.
The Mustang winners in the boys meet were: 4×110 shuttle hurdle relay (1:09.88), 4×200 relay team (1:34.03), 4×800 sprint medley relay (1:39.71), 4×1,600 meter relay (20:12.78), 4×800 meter relay team (8:21.92) and Distance medley relay (11:24.89).
The Mustang winners in the girls meet had three top finishers with Anna Curtsinger in the pole vault (8-00), 800 meter sprint medley (1:55.93) and the 4×200 relay team (1:49.17).
BELLEVUE BASEBALL

Bellevue entered last week with four wins and nearly matched their season total in a week with three wins in a 3-1 week with victories over Dayton (5-3), Calvary Christian (7-5) and Holmes (10-3).
In the victory over Dayton, Nick Keener was the star with a complete game and struck out 12 while driving in two runs at the plate. Aiden Dickerson supported Keener at the plate with two runs driven in and two doubles. Keener, TJ Sorrell, Jackson Day and Jordan Pendleton powered the Tigers to victory over Calvary Christian, the four combining for seven hits and seven runs driven in. Day had three of the RBI, Pendleton with two while Sorrell stole three bases and scored two runs.
Closing out the week in the win over Holmes, Day and Wyatt Messman collected multiple hits, Messman with three RBI and Day with three stolen bases and three runs scored. Justin Holloway got the win on the mound, pitching five innings of three hit baseball and striking out nine.
Bellevue sits at 7-18 on the season with two regular season games left until they face Newport Central Catholic in the 36th District Tournament semifinals.
HOLY CROSS SOFTBALL

The Indians entered last week under .500 at 7-8 and proceeded to go 3-1 and currently sit above .500 at 10-9 on the season.
Over the course of the last week, Holy Cross went 3-0 at the Holmes Bulldog Bash, defeating Calvary Christian (20-4), Paris (15-14) and Gallatin County (9-1).
Holy Cross collected 42 hits in the three games, including 20 against Paris. Madison Urlage led the way with nine hits in the three contests, five of them coming in the win over Paris. Zoey Baker had eight hits, also tallying five hits in the Paris game. Mia Wilson, Evie Thomas, Caryss Pouncy and Suzette Klaiss had four hits apiece in the three games.
Thomas won two of the games in the circle, including a complete game four-hitter in the win over Gallatin, striking out 12.
The Indians have three regular season games left before the 35th District Tournament, where they’ll face Beechwood in the semifinals next week.
