Our LINK nky Team of the Week for Oct. 24 – 30 is the Covington Latin School girls cross country team.
This week’s votes were the most we’ve ever received in our weekly poll, and the Trojans captured nearly 80%.
Covington Latin was nominated after winning qualifying its girls cross country team for the state meet for the first time in school history, in a season that was also the first time in nine years that a full girls team was fielded.
The Trojans finished 25th at the state meet in Class 1A.

Our runner-up in the Team of the Week voting was the Beechwood girls cross country team, which won the Class 1A state title, a school first.
Congratulations to our other nominees, as well: Ludlow football, Ryle boys soccer, and Notre Dame volleyball.
Our weekly honor is open to all local sports teams at all levels, from youth to recreational to high school to college to pro and beyond.
At the beginning of the week, we open the nomination form, and then start the voting mid-week, with the winner announced later in the week. To nominate a team for a performance during the week of October 31 – November 6, click here.
