Northern Kentucky University’s bachelor of nursing science program has been ranked as the number 2 program in the state by RegisteredNursing.

RegisteredNursing is a national consortium of registered nurses that aims to offer educational resources to both current and future nurses.

“For more than a decade, RegisteredNursing has recognized outstanding nursing programs nationwide, highlighting institutions dedicated to quality nursing education and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals,” said Sally Worthington, outreach coordinator for RegisteredNursing. “Nursing programs play an essential role in strengthening our communities by educating aspiring nurses, supporting practicing nurses and helping healthcare professionals advance their careers. Our annual rankings celebrate institutions committed to quality education, strong student outcomes and excellence in nursing.”

The only school that beat out NKU was Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College, but NKU’s program was ranked the best for students seeking tuition assistance from a hospital partner. St. Elizabeth Healthcare can cover up to two years of tuition for eligible juniors and seniors who commit to working there after graduation.
