The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, or TANK, will enact numerous service changes starting this Saturday, Nov. 7.
The changes will see service expansions to several of the authority’s routes. The changes come following a period of public input collected last year.
“The new service is designed to better align with how people travel today while ensuring we can continue providing dependable public transportation throughout our service area,” TANK General Manager Gina Douthat said in a news release. “Community feedback played an important role in this process, helping us make thoughtful decisions that balance rider needs with the long-term health of our transit system.”
The changes include updating timetables to reflect traffic conditions and actual travel times. Nov. 7 will also mark the official end of the Southbank Shuttle, the route for which will be absorbed into an expanded Route 1. Several other routes will also be expanded or have their peak travel frequencies increased.
