INDEPENDENCE, KY (April 30, 2026) — The Heart of Country Music Festival is returning in 2026 and
is expanding into a two-day festival of incredible music live at the Kenton County Fairgrounds, located
in Independence, Kentucky.
Legendary country music artists Justin Moore and Clint Black will headline the 2026 installment with
additional artists including Shenandoah, Little Texas, Cole Goodwin, John Morgen, and Derek Alan.
The two-day event will take place on Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026.
With a carefully curated lineup of national acts, breakout artists, and homegrown talent, Heart of Country’s
goal is to celebrate the voices and stories that echo through Kentucky’s hills, hollers, and hometowns. This
festival is a tribute to the people who show up, sing loud, and live with heart—because in Kentucky, country
music isn’t just a genre. It’s a way of life.
More than just a concert, Heart of Country is a full-day celebration of community. From some of the region’s
best food to games, activities, and front-porch vibes, every element is designed to spark joy, connection,
and good old-fashioned fun. Whether you’re two-stepping with friends or discovering a new favorite artist,
this festival is where Kentucky comes together—because we are the heart of country music.
“Neighbors and friends, we’re excited to welcome back the Heart of Country Music Festival for year
two—a full two-day celebration happening September 11th and 12th in your back yard at the Kenton
County Fairgrounds in Independence, Kentucky,” said Derek Alan, one of the festival organizers. “With
a massive, star-studded lineup packed with country legends, chart-topping favorites, and the hottest
rising stars, it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend and one of the biggest live music events our
community has ever seen.”
