The Covington Board of Commissioners appointed the voting members of the city’s new committee on housing development last week. All of the appointed members of the committee are city employees.
The appointments, listed below, occurred as part of last week’s consent agenda. In addition to the four appointees, Mayor Ron Washington will serve as the committee chair.
The city will also establish an advisory body comprised of residents, business representatives and industry experts to offer informed guidance to the committee. The committee itself will have no legislative power but will instead issue recommendations to the board of commissioners, who will have final say. Each committee appointee will serve a two-year term until May 29, 2027.
The following people were appointed:
- Assistant Neighborhood Services Director Walt Mace
- Regulatory Services Manager & Historic Preservation Specialist Kaitlin Bryan
- Assistant Economic Development Director John Sadosky
- Property Maintenance Working Foreman Corey Lohstroh
