Boone County Water Rescue recovered a man’s body from AJ Jolly Lake Monday afternoon after reports of a capsized fishing boat earlier in the day.
Campbell County police said they responded to a call Monday morning from park staff about the boat, which preliminary information suggested had been used while the man was fishing alone Sunday evening.
The man’s body was discovered in AJ Jolly Lake at 4 p.m. Monday, in close proximity to the capsized boat, according to a press release.
Foul play is not suspected, police said.
The man’s name is not being released pending notification of the family.
