The Campbell County Police Department introduced “Officer Manny Kin” to help remind drivers to slow down.
Manny Kin is a mannequin dressed in uniform with or without sunglasses, seated in a decoy police car whose sole job is to encourage safer driving. The department said in a Facebook post that drivers won’t necessarily know if its officer Manny Kin behind the wheel or one of its living officers.
“Manny might not hand out tickets, but he’s playing a crucial role in reducing speeding and saving lives,” the department said in a Facebook post. “So next time you spot a police car, slow down—because safety is everyone’s responsibility, whether it’s Manny or one of our officers.”
