Boone County Distilling Company, in partnership with the Boone County Sheriff’s Auxiliary, is unveiling a special, limited-edition spirit Wednesday. Dubbed Founder’s Reserve Bourbon, the spirit commemorates the 225th anniversary of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

“This joint project is five months in the making, with deputies from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office handpicking barrels specific for this release,” according to a press release from the distilling company.
The commemorative label “celebrates the tenacity and dedication of the Sheriff’s Office of the past 225 years.”
Proceeds from the sale of this release benefit the Boone County Sheriff’s Auxiliary – a group of citizen volunteers that support the men and women of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and community.
“Boone County is proud to support the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in celebrating this milestone,” said Josh Quinn, Boone County Distillery cofounder, in the release. “Our county’s first responders are an integral part in our community – providing outstanding service day in and day out to all who pass through Boone County. Congratulations to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office!”
The bourbon will be available while supplies last in 750 milliliter bottles of varying proofs, determined by the barrels selected for each bottle, at Boone County Distillery in Independence.
