The Kenton County Fiscal Court recently announced it had approved about $2.1 million in public funds to nine local service organizations.
“The County’s partnership with these organizations helps Kenton County residents live, work and thrive in our community,” Kenton County Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann said. “Whether it is supporting seniors and families to individuals with disabilities, we work together to address needs in a practical way.”
The money comes from the county’s COLT fund, which is paid for through a special payroll tax for funding mental health, intellectual disability and aging services. The fiscal court has allocated about $4.4 million to 48 organizations, including the nine listed below, for the 2027 fiscal year.
The following organizations will receive funding:
- Action Ministries – $164,850 to replace its forklift and box truck
- CASA of the Northern Bluegrass Region – $8,831 for new equipment purchase
