The Campbell County Drop-Off Recycling Program received a visual upgrade to trigger recycling efforts.

The new bins are bright blue with signage on the front to show what acceptable recycling items are.

“The new color and graphics make recycling more community-focused and enjoyable,” Campbell County Solid Waste Coordinator Megan Clere said. “The bins aren’t a dark color anymore and shouldn’t ever be mistaken for a dumpster.”

The six recycling locations are:

  • Campbell County Animal Services: 1989 Poplar Ridge Road, Melbourne
  • Campbell County Clerk’s Office: 8330 W Main St., Alexandria
  • Campbell County Senior Center: 3504 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights
  • Morscher Park: 4800 Mary Ingles Highway, Silver Grove
  • Pendery Park: 4113 Williams Lane, Melbourne
  • Southern Campbell Fire Department: 050 Racetrack Road, Alexandria

The recycling bin upgrade was funded by a grant from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management.
