OneNKY Alliance cemented its presence in the state’s capital with the recent unveiling of a permanent monument in front of their Frankfort facility at 418 Capital Ave.

The stone sign features a plaque that displays ‘OneNKY’ in gold lettering.

For OneNKY CEO Karen Finan, the monument symbolizes regional unity, collaboration and a shared sense of regional identity.

“Through the OneNKY Frankfort facility and the OneNKY Center that we just broke ground on which will bring all our growth organizations together, there is a strong sense of urgency, energy, and unity,” Finan told LINK nky.

Opened in 2020, the OneNKY Frankfort facility was launched to serve as a co-working and event space where various Northern Kentucky community and business leaders can convene and strategize. The facility positions Northern Kentucky legislators, decision-makers, and stakeholders for success, Finan said.

“There’s been a lot of time, treasure, and talent that has gone into each of those projects that are moving to push us together,” Finan said. “Those things have convened people, whether they be elected officials, growth organizations, community and business leaders around different initiatives that are really important to our community.”

The sign dedication comes on the heels of the official groundbreaking for the OneNKY Center in Covington — the future home of regional growth organizations focused on business development, tourism, and innovation. Additionally, the building’s second floor will house the Covington Life Sciences Lab.

“Part of what we were founded on as an organization was the concept of unity across the three counties,” Finan said. “How can we do more efficiently? How can we share services that might make sense for counties and cities? What are the things we can do to bring the community together?”

Formed in 2017, OneNKY ‘s mission statement is to advocate for community initiatives that focus on improved unity, health, and education. This has led to programs such as Breathe Easy NKY and Educate NKY.
