A flood advisory is in place until 10 a.m. after overnight storms sent many households to the basement in the early morning hours.

Interstate 71/75 northbound was closed ahead of the morning rush just after the Brent Spence Bridge going into Cincinnati due to reports of high water, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The interstate reopened around 7:30 a.m.
A few thousand households are without power Thursday morning, mostly centering in the Florence area, according to Duke Energy.
Thursday morning, KYTC posted a notice on Facebook saying that Boone County is experiencing a 911 outage, so all calls are being rerouted to Kenton County.
“Please only call 911 if you are experiencing an urgent life safety issue,” the post reads.
