Sanitation District 1, the state agency responsible for managing sewers and other public sanitation measures in the region, will hold a free recycling event at Thomas More Stadium in Florence on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Permissible items for collection include light bulbs, aerosol cans, pesticides, paint, electronics and other difficult-to-dispose items. The district asks that people register ahead of time by filling out the contact form at Campbell County’s website. Full lists of accepted and non-accepted items are also available at the website.
