The Independence Volunteer Corps will host its Community Appreciation Day this Sunday at the Independence Senior Center and Memorial Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Raffles, food trucks and vehicles from first responders will be among the attractions. Local nonprofits and community organizations will also attend to engage in community outreach. The event will also feature bicycle repair services where community members can receive small bike repairs.
