Ramp and lane closures on I-275 near Turkeyfoot Road, KY 1303, will begin this Friday, July 7 at 9 p.m., according to a press release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The closures will allow work teams to repair the steel on the bridge overpass. The work is expected to conclude on July 10 around 6 a.m.
“The right lane on I-275 eastbound near Turkeyfoot Road between mile points 82 and 82.39 will be closed,” the release said. “The left two lanes of I-275 eastbound in the project area will remain open. In addition, the on-ramp from U.S. 25 (Dixie Highway) to I-275 eastbound will be closed as crews make repairs. The listed lane and ramp closures will be in place throughout the entirety of the project.”
The release goes on to say that the on/off ramp to Turkeyfoot Road and all of the lanes on Turkeyfoot Road will remain open.
The cabinet recommends that travelers in the area expect delays and find alternate routes during peak travel times.
