Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard gave turkey dinners to about 60 families in the Bellevue School District on Tuesday at Grandview Elementary School.
“A nice meal means a lot and goes a long way during the holidays,” Hubbard said.
Hubbard helped distribute turkeys, homemade side dishes from The Passion Plate and mini footballs Tuesday afternoon to a very excited group of kids.
“OMG it’s Sam Hubbard!” one of them yelled as Hubbard signed a football for him.
“Football is football but being a good person and leaving an impact off the field is a better lasting legacy because there’s more to life than football and this is a big part of it,” Hubbard explained.
