The Alexandria city offices, police department and community center are moving locations.
The new Alexandria city complex is nearly complete and therefore those entities will be moving from the current city building at 8236 West Main St. to 8822 Constable Dr.
To help with the transition from the old to the new, the administration and police offices will be closed Friday, Oct. 16 through Oct. 20. The city will reopen those offices at 8822 Constable Dr on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 8 a.m.
The community center will remain open at 8236 West Main for walking and the daytime events through Friday, Oct. 23. Starting Monday, Oct. 26, walking and daytime activities will be at the new building at 8822 Constable Dr.
If during that time you need to pay your 2026 Property Tax bill, you can do so online here or you can utilize the city’s overnight drop box at 8236 West Main St. During this time the city’s phone systems will also not be working.
