Boone County Sheriff’s deputies have found a missing Florence man unharmed.
Jonathon Dodson, 52, was reported missing on Wednesday. He was last seen when he told his family the day before that he was going to Walmart, but he never returned home.
Before he was reported missing, Dodson made “concerning statements” about hurting his family, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, but deputies and Dodson’s family did not believe he was armed. While he was gone, he was without some required medications as well. Authorities released a description of Dodson’s clothing and the vehicle he was driving at the time he was last seen.
The sheriff’s office did not report where Dodson was located, but said he was found safe in Florence around 10 a.m. on Thursday.
