On Sunday, Oct. 16, the Florence Police Department responded to St. Elizabeth Hospital for a report of a patient with several gun shot wounds.
The victim was an 18-year-old male from Florence.
The victim reported he was parked on Waverly Drive when an unknown subject opened his car door and began shooting at him, according to a press release from Florence Police Department.
The victim received several gunshot wounds to the abdomen, chest and face.
He claimed there may have been multiple assailants and could not give a good description of the suspect.
He also reported the suspects stole an unspecified amount of marijuana and then fled in a black car.
He is currently being treated at The University of Cincinnati Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
The Florence Police Department’s Detective Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to Waverly Drive to locate and process the crime scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates that this is an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.
