River Days Festival returns to Dayton for the second year in a row with a mobile Mint Julep bar, live entertainment by the band Hoopty, corn hole and face painting. Food trucks Bol acai bowl bar and Wild Side (with pulled pork, burgers, hotdogs, fries and lemonade) will also be at the event.
The festival is Saturday, May 21, from noon to 4 p.m. at Manhattan Harbour.
Scully’s On the River, a future three-season community bar and restaurant will be open specifically for the festival. The bar/restaurant will hold its grand opening later this summer.
“It’s our second year for the festival and we plan to grow it every year,” Property manager of the Gateway Flats at Manhattan Harbour Sean Scully, said.
Queen City Riverboats and Yachts will also be doing a discounted cruise at 3 p.m. through downtown. Guests will have the opportunity to tour The Destiny, the largest Yacht in Cincinnati.
Dayton Mayor Ben Baker said Scully’s on the River is a great addition to the growing culinary and entertainment scene in the City of Dayton.
“There is no better place than the Dayton riverfront to take in the view of Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline while relaxing and enjoying the unique southern hospitality found only in the Bluegrass State,” Baker said.
Tours of new condos and townhomes at Manhattan Harbour will also be offered. The community has a three-mile riverfront trail loop that is part of Riverfront Commons, the 11-mile walking and bike trail along the Ohio River. It also has a marina, boating rental club, riverfront restaurants, and Queen City Riverboats transportation.
