Correction: A previous version of this story stated that Amador Cuban and Bridgeview Food Hall were permanently closing. According to a representative from Jamestown LP, the firm that owns Newport on the Levee, Bridgeview Food Hall is only temporarily closing. The article was updated to reflect the new information.
Two Newport on the Levee restaurants are closing — one permanently and the other temporarily.
Pescola Hospitality Group, the operating firm behind Amador Cuban and Bridgeview Food Hall, announced the brands would close on Jan. 19. The announcement was posted to Amador Cuban’s Facebook page.
While Amador Cuban is shutting down for good, Bridgeview Food Hall is closing temporarily as Pesola Hospitality Group steps away from its role as operator. As of now, there is no reported reopening date for Bridgeview Food Hall.
“Simply put, we cannot sustain business operations for these concepts due to challenges beyond our control, including the bridge closure, which had a devastating financial impact on our Newport on the Levee locations,” read the post.
Amador Cuban opened at the Levee in May 2023. It serves Miami-inspired Cuban dishes, including Cubano sandwiches, empanadas, croquetas and more.
Opened in October 2023, Bridgeview Food Hall, previously called The Galley, is a communal food hall with first-come, first-serve seating. It features multiple booths with different restaurants running out of each. Los Tacos Hermanos and Club Coop are the only restaurants operating in the food hall.
