Three Boone County farm stores—Kinman Farm Market LLC, McGlasson Farms and Eagle Bend Alpacas/Eagle Bend’s Yarn & Fiber Shop—have been accepted into the 2024 Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Farm Market Program.
The KFB Certified Farm Market logo identifies markets certified through this program, which are listed in the online directory. The certification ensures that each market meets standards of quality, freshness and marketing appeal.
The program also provides collective advertising, promotional items, educational tour opportunities and other marketing benefits, with the aim of increasing the net farm income of member markets.
Kinman Farm Market offers, located at 4065 Burlington Pike in Burlington, offers corn,
blackberries, cabbage, onions, peaches, beans, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins,
squash, tomatoes, watermelons, greenhouse flowers, vegetable plants and
Christmas trees, as well as fall crops such as pumpkins, gourds, straw, corn stalks
and more.
McGlasson Farms, located at 5832 River Road in Hebron, offers pick-your-own produce throughout the year, including strawberries, blueberries and blackberries in the summer and apples and pumpkins in the fall.
Eagle Bend Alpacas/Eagle Bend’s Yarn & Fiber Shop, located at 7812 East Bend Road in Burlington, offers educational opportunities for knitters, crocheters, hand spinners, and weavers, as well as access to a heard of approximately 50 alpacas.
