The City of Covington released a draft of its new short-term rental regulations, along with a list of frequently asked questions, in a press release on Thursday. The release has hyperlinks to the proposed ordinance and lays out the neighborhoods most affected. It also contains an online comment form, where people can leave feedback on the draft.
The city has also scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, June 15, at 6 p.m. at the Life Learning Center on 18th Street. The meeting is open to the public, and anyone came come and share their thoughts on the draft ordinance and pose questions to the Covington Board of Commissioners and Mayor Joe Meyer.
Covington’s moratorium on short-term rental licenses will expire on June 20. The timeline for the implementation of the new regulations is not clear at this time.
