Twenty people have been arrested in a months-long drug investigation in Dayton, the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force announced on Thursday.
From the investigation and warrants, investigators announced that the following was seized:
- 358 Grams of Crystal Methamphetamine (Ice)
- 289 Pills made from illicit Fentanyl
- 64 grams of Fentanyl (powder)
- 4.6 grams of heroin
- 11.3 grams of Cocaine
- 2,248 grams of marijuana
- Three loaded firearms
- $11,375 US Currency
Some of the individuals facing indictment are still at large, a news release said. The twenty people arrested face state charges, but additional state or federal charges are possible, a news release said.
The investigation began in January.
Campbell County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office presented the investigation to the grand jury and obtained felony indictments on fourteen identified offenders.
Seven search warrants were obtained and these, along with the warrants on indictment were executed with the assistance of officers, deputies, and agents from the following law enforcement agencies:
Dayton Police Department
Ft. Thomas Police Department
Drug Enforcement Administration
Newport Police Department
Covington Police Department
Cincinnati Police Department
Kentucky Probation and Parole
Campbell County Police Department
Campbell County Sheriff’s Department
