Greater Cincinnati’s favorite fast-casual chain has opened a new location in Northern Kentucky.
This morning, Skyline Chili opened for business at 520 West Fifth Street, replacing the older location on Third Street in Covington.
Unlike the previous location, this newer Skyline will have a drive-thru in addition to offering carryout and dine-in options. Located at the former Frisch’s Big Boy site at Fifth and Philadelphia, the new location makes it easier to get Skyline whenever fans wish, according to the company.
“We are thrilled to continue serving the Covington community,” Gary Holland, founder and CEO of Skyline franchise partner One Holland Group, said. “The Third Street restaurant was one of the oldest locations in Northern Kentucky and in the Skyline system, so it was important to us to keep serving our Covington guests and create a restaurant that better fits today’s needs and expectations.”
Skyline Chili is teaming up with The Point Arc for the grand opening. The Point Arc, based in Covington, is a nonprofit that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities reach their potential through education, housing, jobs and social programs. Skyline gave the organization a check at the ceremony this morning and will donate 10% of June 29 sales when guests show an event flyer from Point Arc.
