Holmes High School will celebrate the grand opening of its new archive room Monday night. The new room will feature historical artifacts and records from the school’s long history.

“The new archive room brings that history to life through a unique collection of memorabilia and artifacts, including items from Daniel Henry Holmes’ Castle, photographs spanning more than 120 years, athletic trophies, vintage uniforms, yearbooks and grade books dating back to 1891,” according to a district announcement.

Extra yearbooks will be available for purchase while supplies last; prices range from $20 to $45. Only cash payments will be accepted.

The ribbon cutting and grand opening will take place Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Holmes High School in Covington.
