Back in March, Fort Thomas Matters broke the announcement of four new retailers that would open in the Newport Pavilion.
European Wax Center, Massage Envy, The UPS Store® and Domino’s opened their doors in the 337,300-square-foot center this year. Mike Fitzgerald, vice president and director of leasing for Inland Real Estate Corporation, told FTM he didn’t think the final available space at Newport Pavilion would go without a tenant for very long.
Now, with the signing of the Orange Theory Fitness, Newport Pavilion is at 100% capacity. Orangetheory Fitness will lease 3,390 square feet in Phase II, which is sandwiched by the UPS store and TJ Maxx.
This will be the fourth Orange Theory Fitness in Kentucky. There are four studios in Ohio and two in Indiana and they are hoping to be open in December of this year.
Orangetheory Fitness is the brainchild of Ellen Latham, physiologist, based in Florida. According to Amanda Delprete, spokesperson for Orangetheory, the name of the business tells the story behind the concept of the franchise.
“In color theory, each color stimulates a different psychological response. Orange invokes
energy, youthfulness, vitality and health.”
According to their website, an Orangetheory Fitness training session is comprised of three components: treadmill interval training blocks, indoor rowing and weight room or resistance training blocks. There are three types of memberships available, which are all no-contract agreements.
