A man was lifted from Burlington to University of Cincinnati Medical Center after shooting himself while cleaning his gun, early reports indicate.
The man is 67, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer‘s Jennifer Baker who posted the information on Twitter, and was taken by chopper to Cincinnati. The man’s wife drove him to a fire station in Burlington shortly after the apparent accidental shooting.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The man apparently told dispatchers that he had shot himself while cleaning the gun, WLWT reported.
He was wounded in the arm, reports say.
