Both candidates running in the race for Kenton County Judge-Executive posted on their campaign Facebook pages that their signs have been stolen from various locations.
Incumbent Steve Arlinghaus asked for help late last week in tracking down “an individual who has been seen removing our campaign signs in Kenton County”.
Arlinghaus said that one sign in particular was two by six feet and removed from a spot at Kentucky Drive and Highland Pike in Fort Wright. He described the man believed to have removed that one as being about 30-years old and wearing a tan-colored baseball cap, and driving a dark green pick-up truck with a “Kris Knochelmann” sticker in the rear window on the driver’s side.
Knochelmann, a current county commissioner serving with Arlinghaus at the Fiscal Court, is challenging his fellow Republican for his Party’s nomination on May 20. There is no Democrat running.
Meanwhile, Knochelmann is also complaining of sign thefts.
“Attention friends and supporters, specifically in Taylor Mill,” Knochelmann’s campaign posted on Facebook. “Several of our campaign signs were stolen overnight.”
“My campaign denounces illegal and juvenile acts like this against any candidate,” the campaign stated.
