The Scott Eagles and Villa Madonna Vikings stand 6-0 and own in-season tournament crowns.

Scott won all five games Saturday taking the Glacier Invitational at Bracken County. The Eagles knocked off 10th Region rivals Augusta, 2-0 (25-10, 25-16), Pendleton County, 2-0 (25-17, 25-11), Trinity Christian from the 12th Region, 2-0 (25-19, 25-21), and Harrison County twice by 2-1 (25-21, 25-21) and 2-0 in the title game.

“It’s tough. Anytime a team is playing five matches in one day, that’s a lot,” said Andrea Sullivan, Scott head coach. “A big thing that we talked about was toughness at the end. We knew both teams were in their fifth match. It was a long day. You preach that to your kids. Let’s outlast them. We know we’re tired. But we can’t show it. We have to push through and do what we came here to do.”

Senior Makaylah Mitchell had a combined 37 kills and nine blocks in the five games and senior setter Audrey Griffin had 94 assists and 39 digs for the Eagles. Sophomore Elise Manhardt had 10 aces and 24 digs with freshman Milyn Minor recording 40 kills and 21 digs.

The Eagles saw a number of contributors in the five games. Senior Laine Morman had 52 digs with senior Lexi Rogers tallying 14 digs and 11 kills. Junior Brooke Balsley had 13 kills.

Scott plays host to Newport (3-3) on Monday at 7 p.m.

Villa Madonna plays host to Dayton (1-4) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
