The LINK nky Team of the Week for Sept. 18-24 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Ludlow football team.
The Panthers collected nearly 50% of the vote and ran away from the competition, holding off the Bishop Brossart girls golf team in doing so.
Earning Ludlow Team of the Week honors was their performance against Pendleton County in a 61-12 victory on Sept. 22. After three straight losses, the Panthers righted the ship and put up their highest point total since the 2019 season.
LUDLOW FOOTBALL TEAM

Ludlow ran for 344 yards on nearly 10 yards per carry in the victory over the Wildcats. Leading the rushing charge was Dameyn Anness with 117 yards and two touchdowns. Breckin Ralston, Keedon Moore, Miles Garrett, Kaden Morrison and Aiden Smith Baxley also rushed for scores.
Ludlow’s defense forced two turnovers, one of them a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Anness, who also had eight tackles, three of them for a loss. The Panther defense allowed less than 100 yards on the day and made eight tackles for loss.
The Panthers made it two wins in a row on Friday with a 56-14 victory over Bellevue. The rushing attack dominated once again, tallying 357 yards on 41 carries and five rushing touchdowns. Anness finished with 146 yards and a score. Four others found the endzone on the ground as well: Morrison, Ralston, Mason Dixon and Smith Baxley.
Jackson Mays threw for three touchdowns, hitting on 8-of-12 passes for 126 yards. Ethan Powell had two of the receiving touchdowns, snagging four balls for 75 yards. Ralston had the other receiving touchdown.
The Panther defense allowed just 133 total yards.
