The LINK nky Team of the Week for May 1-7 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Scott High School softball team. 

The Eagles dominated the weekly vote, collecting nearly 90% of ballots.

Earning Scott Team of the Week honors was their performance at the Bulldog Bash softball tournament at Holmes, going 3-0 and scoring 40 runs in the process.

The Eagles went to the Holmes Bulldog Bash and came home with a trophy on May 6 after winning three games over Beechwood (8-7), Holmes (21-0) and Lloyd Memorial (11-1) to improve to 12-8 on the season.

Scott closed out their regular season strong, winning six of their last nine, scoring 93 runs during that span. The bats were on full display during the Bulldog Bash, collecting 40 hits in the three games, led by Addyson Riley’s eight hits in the three contests. Emma Scribner and Ivy Cochran tallied six hits, while Audrey Griffin had five hits and Elise Manhardt with four.

In the final two games, Addyson Riley pitched five innings of two-hit ball against Lloyd Memorial and struck out six while Scribner didn’t allow a hit in three innings against Holmes and struck out seven.

Scott finished the regular season 13-10 and open up postseason play Monday night against Bishop Brossart in the 37th District tournament semifinals.
